Had the pleasure of taking Rick Adams back out onto the bay along with his son-in-law Sean to make up a bit for our last trip which was a bit on the slow side. Picked them up at 6:30am at the Glorietta Bay dock and headed out with a slight glow on the horizon and the downtown lights shining bright. Stopped at our first spot that I had fished the day before due to large amounts of Anchovies (bait) hanging around. Ended up with 2 Spotted Bay Bass caught and released before the sun ever peeked over the downtown horizon.
Overall the bite stayed fairly consistent with Rick and Sean pulling in a fish every 10 minutes or so. The bay was oil an slick glass with not a drop of wind. The air must have hit 75 by 10am, if not sooner! It was another amazing day on the bay in San Diego. Caught plenty of fish and got to watch quite a few military ships go in and out of the bay for a good show.
Some photos of the day…
Overall they released over 25 fish including 5 different species and were back on the dock around 11:30am! Another great day at the office!
Until the next report, tight lines!
