Dave, Janet & Anthony Bonefishing

Sunday, July 25, 2010

Had a great day of fishing with Dave, Janet and Anthony targeting Bonefish in the back of San Diego Bay. Once we arrived at our spot I got all 3 rods setup with bait and metered a spot that I wanted to stop on. I shut the boat down and handed the first rod to Janet (ladies first) as I dropped the bait straight down. As I turned away to get another rod and instruct her on how to set the hook if she gets a fish, her rod bent over and line started screaming off the reel!! It had been less than 30 seconds and she was already on the first Bonefish of the day! More or less, Janet continued this process for the rest of the morning showing the men just how it’s done!

The bite stayed consistant for almost the whole morning allowing them to end the morning with 25 Bonefish, some Spotties and a few Croaker in the mix. There were a few triples and lot’s of double hookups all morning.

Dave, Janet and Anthony on a triple hookup of nicer grade Bonefish!

Anthony releasing a really nice Bonefish.

Janet was by far the “hot stick” on the boat this morning. Here she is releasing one of a dozen Bonefish caught by herself.

It was a great morning of fishing with Dave, Janet and Anthony. Both the fishing and the company was a blast! Hopefully I get to fish with them again in the future!

Until the next report, tight lines!
Captain Peter
